Verstappen reveals 'brief scare' on the way to Abu Dhabi pole
Max Verstappen revealed how a "brief scare" nearly cost him a shot at pole position during Abu Dhabi Grand Prix qualifying.
The Dutchman set his pole time on his first run in Q3, with his teammate Sergio Perez closing the gap to 0.228s on his final attempt.
Even though it looked like an easy pole for the Dutchman, it wasn't without a brief moment of drama behind the scenes.
"It was a bit of an up and down qualifying," Verstappen said after the session.
"We had a bit of a scare when the the car turned off before the first run, so we had to reboot everything.
"Then we went out and both of the laps were good enough so of course very pleased, but also very happy that both cars are on the front row."

Team work to be key tomorrow to seal championship 1-2
Red Bull is going for their first ever 1-2 in the Drivers' Championship, with both Perez and Charles Leclerc heading into the race level on points.
Verstappen said that both drivers working together will be key to ensuring they finish ahead of Leclerc.
He added: "We know that we want to win the race but we also want to finish second with Checo in the championship, so that's definitely a great start for for tomorrow.
"I still expect it to be a good battle tomorrow. But at least we have both cars there and we can we can do what we want."
