The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend is the final chance for some Formula 1 teams to meet a new rule for the 2022 season. Prior to the campaign getting underway, a new clause was added as Article 32.5 of the Sporting Regulations. Each car would have to be given up for one practice session to allow a rookie driver to get meaningful mileage in contemporary machinery.
