Leclerc selects a difficult Ferrari race as his personal best of the season
Charles Leclerc has chosen the Austrian Grand Prix as a personal best victory from an up-and-down 2022 season for Ferrari.
The Monegasque started the season as one of the favourites for the 2022 Drivers' Championship, following a victory at the season-opening race in Bahrain.
A win at round three in Australia underlined Ferrari 's early championship credentials, but their season fell away due to reliability issues, driver errors and operational mistakes.
The 2022 season was still a marked improvement in performance for Ferrari, who took advantage of the technical regulation changes to emerge as an F1 frontrunner.
When asked about his personal highlight from the 2022 season, Charles Leclerc picked his round 11 victory at the Red Bull Ring, a race which also saw the dramatic reliability issues that befell teammate Carlos Sainz.
