Hamilton gives verdict on Brazil win chances without Verstappen contact

After eight years of consecutive seasons winning races, the 2022 season will go down as the first winless in Formula 1 for Lewis Hamilton . Mercedes had to grapple with their difficult W13 car at the beginning of the year, when the regulation change came into effect which forced more emphasis on ground-effect aerodynamics. The W13 appeared to suffer most from the porpoising and bouncing effect, which led to them abandoning their initial car concept mid-season, according to team boss Toto Wolff. Toto Wolff says he hopes to see Mick Schumacher land an opportunity at another F1 team in 2023, even in a reserve driver capacity. in one of the final driver announcements of 2022, it was confirmed ahead of the Abu Dhabi GP that Schumacher's time at Haas was up, with the 23-year-old being replaced by Nico Hulkenberg for 2023. Verstappen was hit by technical problems during Saturday's qualifying at Jeddah, meaning that he lined up in P15 on the grid for Sunday's race while Perez claimed pole position. The Dutchman made his way through the field but ultimately ended the race in P2 behind Perez, who clinched the fifth victory of his F1 career so far. Verstappen voiced his frustrations after the race, stating: "I'm not here to be second." Hill has since given his take on the situation, and defended Red Bull following Verstappen's comments. Hill: The team's doing their best "He looked like he was very upset , that he'd been hard done by for some reason," Hill said on the F1 Nation podcast of Verstappen's post-race demeanour. "But, frankly,...
