Verstappen set to pay unprecedented amount for F1 super licence
Prior to each Formula 1 season, all teams and drivers have to pay entry fees. The final standings of the season are used for this purpose: teams and drivers pay a standard amount, plus an amount per World Championship point scored.
The entry fee for each F1 team was recently revealed, with Red Bull – as the 2022 Constructors' Champions – facing the highest bill prior to next season. Among drivers, then, it comes as no surprise that Max Verstappen pays the heftiest price.
TheFOXposts.Com has learned that, for the upcoming 2023 Formula 1 season, the drivers will have to pay a base fee of 10,400 euros, plus 2,100 euros per point scored in the past season.
Verstappen set record after record last year, including the most points scored by a single driver in a single season, having amassed 454 of them.
