Jordan: Hamilton could eradicate Ferrari's problems

Image
Eddie Jordan believes that Lewis Hamilton would " eradicate " many of Ferrari 's problems if he moved to the team. Despite a difficult start to the 2023 season for Mercedes, Hamilton has previously downplayed the idea that he might be tempted to move elsewhere. However, that has not prevented speculation over whether the Briton may consider changing teams should the Silver Arrows' struggles continue, with ex-F1 driver Martin Brundle having questioned whether a switch to Ferrari might be feasible. Former team boss Jordan has now weighed in and suggested that Hamilton joining the Scuderia might be an ideal partnership for both sides. Jordan: Ferrari and Hamilton both need shaking up "There's only one place he could go to in my opinion and that is Ferrari," Jordan told Express Sport . Stella explains reason behind McLaren 'DNA' problems

Andrea Stella believes that problems with the "DNA" of McLaren's car may be linked to outdated methodologies within the team, as well as using an older wind tunnel. The squad have faced a difficult start to the 2023 F1 season, with the MCL60 continuing to face the mid-corner handling issues that were previously prevalant in 2021 and 2022. Stella – who was promoted to Team Principal ahead of the current campaign – acknowledges that the "pattern" does not appear to have changed. Pattern 'associated to infrastructure' "I have to say that it seems like the pattern hasn't changed," Stella told media, including TheFOXposts.Com . "I know that we talked in some of the previous conversations that it's more a matter of aerodynamic efficiency. It's true because if you see the time we lose in the straight, we do lose because of drag. "Overall, if you have more load without changing the characteristics, you wo...

Charles Leclerc was left frustrated with Ferrari's race pace in the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix after claiming P7 in a difficult race. Ferrari and Leclerc had hoped for more from their US race after introducing a range of car updates ahead of the weekend. After promising Friday pace, Leclerc's outside chances of Pole Position were ended by a crash in the third and final part of qualifying, a repeat of his crash in an earlier practice session. Starting P7, the Monegasque was unable to progress in the race, with his opening stint hampered by a battle with Haas' Kevin Magnussen. The Ferrari driver was also passed by a recovering Lewis Hamilton, who had started the race down in thirteenth place.
