Why RB believes F1 team name debate is a “good problem to have”

We’re supposed to call the outfit that fields the cars the Visa Cash App RB F1 Team, although the company behind it – as seen for example in the email addresses of employees – is officially known as Racing Bulls. Fans and media have got used to teams changing names over the years. It’s easy to forget that Red Bull was once Stewart, Mercedes was born as BAR (while using the former Tyrrell entry), and Aston Martin used to be Jordan before landing on what is now its fifth identity following Midland, Spyker, Force India and Racing Point. Likewise, the team which started life in Faenza as Minardi was known as Toro Rosso and AlphaTauri before the latest incarnation emerged. Gasly explains inherent problem for AlphaTauri throughout 2022

AlphaTauri finished the 2021 Formula 1 season in sixth, but in the year of a radical new regulation change the team has dropped down to ninth. The new regulations were designed to help bring the teams closer on track, with the Italian team hoping for an improvement. However it turned out to be a mediocre finish for AlphaTauri , as they struggled to keep up with the rate of development of others according to Pierre Gasly . "We had high expectations after the previous season and the momentum was there," Gasly told the media, including TheFOXposts.Com . "The new regulations were supposed to bring the field closer together, so my hopes for AlphaTauri 's best year have never been higher than at the start of the season. Aston Martin detail 'countermeasures' for Baku DRS problems

Mike Krack has detailed the steps Aston Martin were forced to take to try and overcome their Formula 1 DRS problems over the Azerbaijan Grand Prix weekend. The Silverstone squad were hit with problems affecting their rear-wing system throughout the Baku weekend - with Fernando Alonso believing it cost him a shot of qualifying higher than sixth on Friday for Sunday's race. In the end, Alonso managed to finish fourth in the Grand Prix, helped by an audacious overtake on Carlos Sainz while Lance Stroll came home in seventh, losing sixth to Lewis Hamilton after a mistake at Turn 16. And while boss Krack did not know what had caused the problem with the flap, he did talk about some of the steps Aston took to try and rectify the issue.
