Norris praises support from McLaren after struggling with illness

Lando Norris has praised his McLaren team for their support after struggling with illness throughout the Brazilian Grand Prix weekend. The Briton was forced to skip media duties on the opening day of the event, having come down with suspected food poisoning, but returned to track action on Friday. Despite continuing to feel unwell, Norris qualified in P4 on the grid before finishing Saturday's Sprint race in seventh. His outing in Sunday's main race was less successful. Norris collided with Charles Leclerc on Lap 7 – for which he was given a five-second time penalty and two penalty points – before eventually retiring on Lap 50 with a mechanical issue. Perez confident of Red Bull support: 'They used to be one-car team'

Image
Sergio Perez is adamant that he has the same level of support as Max Verstappen , as both drivers bid for the 2023 Formula 1 World Championship. Verstappen's dominant performances against his teammates in recent seasons have made him the firm favourite to take this season's Drivers' Championship. The reigning World Champion enjoyed a one-sided battle against Perez in 2022, with the Mexican unable to match Verstappen's win rate. But the festivities drew ire from followers on social media as well as the drivers, who complained mostly about the distractive nature of the proceedings in the build-up to the start of the race. Whilst this will not be repeated at every race on the 23-event schedule, around a third of the calendar is expected to be given similar treatment. Viewed by others: Red Bull Racing ...
