Former Red Bull Formula 1 driver Daniil Kvyat will join the factory Lamborghini LMDh line-up in endurance racing next year. Kvyat will join former F1 rival Romain Grosjean as part of the line-up, as well as Andrea Calderelli and current-season Prema World Endurance Championship LMP2 teammate Mirko Bortolotti, and will race in both WEC and IMSA from 2024. Former Red Bull Formula 1 driver Danill Kvyat has revealed that he narrowly missed out on a race drive to replace Kimi Raikkonen at Ferrari. Kvyat was promoted into the senior Red Bull squad in just his second season in 2015, out-scoring teammate Daniel Ricciardo, and he started 2016 well with a podium in round three in China. However, by round five in Spain, he had been demoted back to Toro Rosso, with Max Verstappen promoted in his place . Daniil Kvyat has slated Red Bull for the 'betrayal' of his dropping from the team early in the 2016 Formula 1 campaign.
