Liberty: US F1 races will become 'distinctive' over time
Each Formula 1 Grand Prix in the United States will find their "distinctiveness" over time, according to Liberty Media CEO Greg Maffei with three races in 2023.
Under the ownership of Liberty Media, F1 has experienced a boom in popularity in the US - a market the series has long craved a foothold in, with the Miami Grand Prix joining the calendar in 2022 to supplement the official United States Grand Prix in Austin.
For 2023, another race will be held in America as F1 returns to Las Vegas for a Saturday night primetime race on the strip.
It will be only the second time in the history of the World Championship that one country has held three races in a calendar year, although the Monza, Mugello and Imola races in Italy in 2020 was due to the COVID-19 pandemic and not through targeted expansion.
