F1 drivers 'would not dominate' Formula E, claims Rowland
Formula E racer Oliver Rowland believes that the likes of Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton would not dominate the electric series if they switched from Formula 1.
Verstappen and Hamilton have claimed all but one of the Drivers' titles in Grand Prix racing since 2013, with both dominating the series in terms of race wins, podiums and pole positions in recent seasons.
In 2022, Verstappen claimed a second World Championship with 15 wins, scoring 454 points to set two new all-time F1 records, while Hamilton became the first driver to score 100 wins, doing so in the '20 season, claiming a record-equalling seventh title shortly afterwards.
In comparison, Formula E has only ever had one back-to-back champion in Jean-Eric Vergne, and on the eve of season nine beginning in Mexico this weekend, Mahindra driver Rowland has praised the strength of the field. ...
