Red Bull power units officially rebranded for 2023

The name of Red Bull's power unit has officially been changed on the FIA entry list, pointing to the increased marketing collaboration with Formula 1 engine supplier Honda.

It was announced back at the Japanese Grand Prix that Honda branding would have increased visibility on the Red Bull cars from the Suzuka race onwards.

A successful Red Bull-Honda partnership officially ended in 2021, with the supplier ending on a high with Max Verstappen's championship-winning finale.

Honda had originally planned to back away from F1 altogether, with Red Bull registering their power supply as RBPT (Red Bull Powertrains), albeit with a technical partnership with Honda, for the 2022 season.

However, the Japanese company's increased visibility now involves a change to the name of the powertrain make, which will be Honda-RBPT in 2023.

With the power unit regulations set to change in 2026, Honda officially registered their interest with the FIA, pointing to a possible F1 return.

Bottas takes two-wheeled adventure in Imola replacement race

Valtteri Bottas joined partner Tiffany Cromwell at a cycling race in Scotland after the cancellation of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. The race at Imola was called off early in the week after extensive rainfall led to flooding and landslides in the surrounding region. Alfa Romeo driver Bottas did not take the weekend off for relaxation ahead of the Monaco and Spanish Grands Prix double-header though, instead taking part in the Gralloch Gravel event – part of the UCI Gravel World Series. The Finn excelled to finish 114th out of over 1,000 entrants in the 113km race, though he was outshone by Cromwell, who triumphed in the Women's race. F1 2023 Azerbaijan Grand Prix Qualifying results

Charles Leclerc nabbed pole position for Formula 1 's Azerbaijan Grand Prix, and will be joined on the front row by Max Verstappen. Having set the exact same time as Verstappen on the first runs in Q3, Leclerc improved by 0.242s on his second run, as Verstappen could only find 0.188s.
