Sebastian Vettel's previous supercar now on sale
A limited edition Nissan formerly owned by Sebastian Vettel has been listed for sale at €250,000.
The listing says the Nissan R35 GT-R Black Edition was registered in Switzerland and is in new car condition, with only 130km having been covered.
Vettel took delivery of the car in 2012 during his third straight World Championship-winning season with Red Bull, who were sponsored by Nissan's flagship Infiniti brand that year.
In recent years, Vettel has become an increasingly vocal advocate for sustainability and environmental issues, and last year questioned whether he should continue to race in F1 amid his concerns.
Perhaps mindful of the environmental impact of high-performance supercars, the German appears to have downsized his car collection in recent years, and in 2021 put no fewer than ten of his Ferraris and four Mercedes up for sale.
Vettel's climate activism
During his final year in F1 in 2022, Vettel used his profile to draw attention to climate-related issues.
Ahead of F1's inaugural Miami Grand Prix last May, Vettel was seen wearing a t-shirt saying "Miami 2060 – 1st Grand Prix Underwater – Act Now or Swim Later", in a reference to rising sea levels threatening to submerge that city.
The following week, the German appeared on the BBC programme Question Time, where he again acknowledged that campaigning for climate issues while serving as an active F1 driver made him a hypocrite.
